Every 1 ozt gold bullion coin holds one troy ounce of pure gold, whatever its purity or its face value; the 30-gram Panda holds slightly less. So they're all worth about the same: the gold price.

Why a 22-karat coin is worth the same
A 22-karat coin like the Gold Eagle or Krugerrand is alloyed with copper or silver for hardness, so it weighs more, 33.93 grams, to hold the same full ounce of gold. Its purity doesn't lower its value; the gold content is what counts.
When a coin is worth more
Proofs, low-mintage dates, and coins in graded holders can sell to collectors for more than their gold. Chinese Pandas and Mexican Libertads often do, since their designs and mintages vary. Send photos of anything unusual and we'll tell you.
