Guide
What is a silver round worth?
A silver round is a coin-shaped piece of .999 silver made by a private mint. It has no face value and holds one troy ounce of silver, so its value follows the silver price.

Rounds, coins, and bars
- Rounds are made by private mints, often with designs borrowed from classic coins, like the Walking Liberty or the Buffalo. They have no face value.
- Government coins such as Silver Eagles and Maple Leafs are legal tender and carry our higher bullion coin rate; see Silver Eagles.
- Bars are valued the same way as rounds, by weight; see silver bars.
- Check the stamp: rounds marked .999 FINE SILVER and 1 OZ are bullion. Rounds marked .925 or "sterling" are paid at our sterling rate, and "silver plated" or "clad" rounds have almost no silver.
Check these before you sell
Count your rounds by maker if you can, and keep them in their tubes. We verify every piece on arrival and pay on what we find.
